Former Senior Vice President of the Narayanganj District Jubo Dal, Salauddin Molla, has submitted a written complaint to the Home Secretary and Inspector General of Police (IGP) against the controversial OC of Araihazar Police Station, Enayet Hossain on Tuesday.  In the complaint, it was stated that since taking charge after August 5, OC Enayet Hossain has been involved in various controversial activities. At a time when Muslims across the country are grieving over the Palestine issue, and the SSC exams are ongoing, the OC arranged an unauthorized Baul music event on the night of April 11 (Friday) in Shalmadi village of Mahmudpur Union in the upazila. There, he was seen dancing and enjoying the music with a red towel wrapped around his neck. While he was supposed to stop such events, he instead participated in them. This has angered the local community and students. Faced with public outrage, he fled the scene. A video clip of the incident has since gone viral on social media. The complaint further alleges that the controversial OC Enayet Hossain is extorting money from local people and business owners by threatening arrests and legal action. Additionally, photos of him meeting with a known drug dealer have gone viral on Facebook. Every night, he reportedly detains ordinary people and runs a "bargaining market" at the police station. In response to the allegations, OC Enayet Hossain stated, “There was a dispute between two political groups regarding a gate being broken. No written complaint was submitted to the station. I only told them to file a general diary (GD). That’s all. Now, because of their political rivalry, they are blaming me.”
