NCP wants to work with 13 ethnic communities in Bandarban

Bandarban Correspondent

The National Citizens' Party (NCP) will work together with the 13 ethnic communities living in the hilly region of Bandarban. As part of this initiative, party leaders and activists will reach out to every upazila, union, and ward level in the district to spread NCP's vision and objectives.

This was stated by the Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens' Party in Bandarban district, Shahidur Rahman Sohel, at a views-exchange meeting with journalists held on Sunday morning at the Cup of Joy Restaurant in the town, on the occasion of announcing the NCP Bandarban district coordination committee.

At that time, he further said that maximum support will be provided to the administration in protecting the country's independence and sovereignty. Not only that, the NCP will also work to transform Bandarban into a model district and ensure food, healthcare, education, and security for every marginal person.

He also declared that there will be no place in Bandarban for tyranny, oppression, and fascism anymore — those who have suppressed people’s voices, created discrimination, and imprisoned democracy for years will no longer be spared.

Among others present at the meeting were Aminul Islam Bacchu, President of Bandarban Press Club; Joint Coordinators of NCP Bandarban district committee, Luke Chakma and Mizanur Rahman Akhand; members Nazmul Hasan, Biplob Chakma, Abdullah Al Noman, and other committee members as well as journalists.

It is to be noted that on June 5, a 29-member NCP Bandarban district coordination committee was announced with Md. Shahidur Rahman Sohel as the Chief Coordinator.
