Mother, daughter die after being crushed by truck in Ghoraghat

A mother and daughter died after being crushed by a truck in Dinajpur's Ghoraghat after it hit them on the road. The girl's father was injured in the incident.
The accident occurred in the Jamilapur area of Ward No. 1 of Ghoraghat Municipality on Friday noon.
The deceased are: Mosha Sampa Begum (35), wife of Selim Hossain of Nasirabad area of Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district, and her daughter Nusaifa Akhter (12).
Locals said that the mother, daughter and father were on their way to the daughter's son-in-law's house in Ghoraghat's Baganbari area when a truck hit them from behind as they were heading towards Jamilapur area. As a result, they fell on the road and were crushed under the truck's wheels, killing the mother and daughter on the spot. The girl's father was injured at the time.
In this regard, Ghoraghat Police Station OC (OC) Shahidul Islam said, "Upon receiving the news of the accident, we quickly reached the spot with the police. The mother and daughter died in the incident and one person was injured. Legal action is under process regarding the incident."
