Meeting Held Between State Minister Nurul Haque Nur, MP Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, and PJF Leaders

On Friday (September 18), a courtesy meeting and exchange of views took place in Dhaka between State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment and Member of Parliament for Patuakhali-3 (Galachipa-Dashmina), Nurul Haque Nur (VP Nur), Member of Parliament for Patuakhali-2 (Bauphal) Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, and the newly elected executive committee of the "Patuakhali Journalists Forum (PJF), Dhaka"—an organization of journalists from Patuakhali district working in Dhaka.
During the event, the leaders welcomed the newly elected journalist leaders with flowers and called upon everyone to raise their voices for the integrated development of the neglected southern region, particularly the Barisal division. Key demands included upgrading the Bhanga-Kuakata highway to a six-lane road, operationalizing the Payra Sea Port, accelerating the construction work of the Patuakhali Export Processing Zone (EPZ), and establishing an airport in Kuakata, one of the country's major tourist hubs.
Additionally, detailed discussions were held on formulating plans for politicians and journalists to work together in a united manner for the development of Patuakhali.
Present on behalf of the "Patuakhali Journalists Forum (PJF), Dhaka" were Executive Committee President Badrul Alam Nabil (Executive Editor, Banglavision) and General Secretary Aminul Islam (Senior Reporter, ATN News).
Other attendees included former General Secretary Saikhul Islam Uzzal (Joint News Editor, RTV), Finance Editor Ganesh Chandra Howlader (News Editor, Darpan Protidin), Organizing Secretary Md. Taimun Islam Raihan (Staff Reporter, Desh TV), Office Secretary Md.
