Manipulated increase eggs price : Two traders fined in N’ganj

The Narayanganj office of the Directorate of Consumer Rights has fined two egg traders Tk 42 thousand for increasing the price of eggs and not displaying the price list by manipulation in Fatulla Bazar and Dakshin Siachar areas of Narayanganj.

On Sunday noon, National Consumer Protection Directorate Narayanganj Office Assistant Director Md. Selimuzzaman conducted the campaign.

Selimuzzaman said, during the raid at the office of the wholesale egg seller Mohammad Ullah, it was seen that a price was written on the sales receipt and there was evidence of setting an additional price in the messages sent from his mobile phone to the sellers. In other words, to avoid legal trouble, he used to write 13 taka 15 paisa per egg in the sales receipt, but he used to set the price at 13 taka 30 paisa per pitch by sending small messages to the retailers' mobile phones.

For increasing the price by manipulation and not keeping the price list, under Section 38 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009, Taste Enterprise has been fined 40,000 taka and the retailer Heera Enterprise has been fined 2,000 taka for not displaying the price list. has been warned to stay.
