
Malaysian Prof calls on DU VC

Emeritus Professor Dr. Rosnani Hashim and Assistant Professor Dr. Najatul Akmar Binte Mokhtar of the International Islamic University of Malaysia paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, at his office on Thursday.
Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT), Prof Dr. M Abdul Aziz, was present at the event.
During the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan emphasized the importance of increasing international cooperation to achieve excellence in education and research activities.
Malaysian professors expressed interest in conducting joint collaborative education and research activities with Dhaka University. They also want to work together to modernize curricula in the higher education sector to create skilled human resources.
Earlier, in an international seminar organized by the Institute of Education and Research, Dhaka University, Emeritus Prof Dr. Rosnani Hashim spoke on ` The Necessity of Application of the Wisdom Pedagogy in Arts and Humanities for the 21 st Century`. Presented an article titled ` Teaching Methodology in Arabic and Islamic Studies`.
Assistant Prof Dr. Najatul Akmar Binte Mokhtar presented an article titled `Teaching Methodology in Arabic and Islamic Studies` at the seminar.
