BNP Standing Committee Member and former 6-time MP from Bhola-3 constituency Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said that the deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is sitting in India, is trying to create various chaos in the country. Currently, the law and order situation has deteriorated significantly.

Even those injured in the July coup in the country cannot be properly treated. Real estate prices have gone beyond the reach of the people, crime has increased. We have not seen any improvement in the last five months.

He said these at a press briefing with journalists at his residence in Ward No. 5 of Lalmohan Municipality, Bhola on Thursday afternoon.

He also said that Bangladesh is being destroyed, especially the deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is sitting in India, is trying to create chaos in this country in various ways with the help of India. To get rid of this activity, we must maintain the public consciousness of July and August and hold quick elections. Some intellectuals are wasting their time in the name of reforms. Students or advisors have no right to express their opinions on reforms.

The National Parliament will reform. The people's representatives have framed the constitution and the people's representatives will reform it. We want elections to be held by June this year. The people of Bangladesh know how to vote. In every fair election in the past, they have correctly cast their votes. The people's opinions were reflected there. We have struggled for democracy for 17 years, for the people's right to vote.
