Due to this, farmers in this region are being attracted. The crisis of agricultural laborers will also be resolved and crop production will also increase.
Kalia Upazila Agriculture Officer Eva Mallick said that a place has been decided for the demonstration block of Boro Bri Rice-92 (Upsi) rice in the field in Talukder Para of Kalabaria Union. Cultivation is being done using the latest technology on 50 acres of land. For this purpose, the list of 62 farmers has been finalized. Seedlings have been produced by sowing seeds in this method and now the work of transplanting seedlings is going on through rice transplanters.
Agriculturist Eva Mallick further said that with the aim of providing hands-on education in the use of technology, after producing seedlings in trays of this simultaneous demonstration block, the land is being cultivated with a tractor machine and seedlings are being planted. Later, seedlings will be planted with a rice transplanter machine and when the rice is ripe, the rice will be cut and threshed with a combine harvester.
