July Shaheed Smriti DC Gold Cup Football Tournament to kick off in Bogura on Sept 7

On the occasion of Youth Festival-2025 and in memory of the July Mass Uprising, the Bogura District Administration and District Sports Association are set to organize the “July Shaheed Smriti Deputy Commissioner Gold Cup Football Tournament 2025.”
The tournament will begin on September 7 at Shahid Chandu Stadium with the participation of 12 upazilas of the district, divided into four groups.
Ahead of the tournament, Bogura Deputy Commissioner Hosna Afroza unveiled the trophy on Thursday. Addressing journalists at the ceremony, she said, “We seek your wholehearted cooperation. We hope you will widely promote this tournament so that public interest grows, especially among the youth, who will be encouraged to engage in sports and spend their leisure time in healthy activities.”
The opening match will feature Dupchachia Upazila against Sariakandi Upazila, scheduled for September 7 at 3:00 pm. Organizers said the event will play a vital role in developing local players and enhancing their skills.
The champion and runner-up teams will be awarded Prise money,trophies and medals, along with individual prizes including Man of the Tournament, Man of the Match, Best Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper. In addition to local players, each team may include up to four outside players (domestic or foreign), with a maximum of three foreign players allowed.
