JnU Correspondent
Teachers, students, officials, and employees of Jagannath University (JnU) formed a human chain in protest against the brutal killings by Israeli forces in Gaza.
The demonstration was organized by the JnU Teachers' Association on Thursday in front of the university’s Shaheed Minar.
During the human chain, speakers stated that under the guise of establishing peace, a mass killing of Muslims is taking place. Major global powers are not taking any effective action against these atrocities. It is heartbreaking that even Muslim nations remain silent despite witnessing this genocide. Now is the right time to put an end to Israeli aggression. Otherwise, if it continues in Palestine today, it could spread to every Muslim country tomorrow.
Prof Dr. Md. Belal Hossain of the History Department said, "This massacre has been going on for 70-80 years.
Professor Dr. Rais Uddin, General Secretary of the JnU Teachers' Association said, from Bangladesh, we may not be able to do much for Palestine, but we stand here today to condemn and protest against the barbaric attacks on Palestinians.
Teachers, students, leaders of student organizations, officials, and employees of the university were present at the event.
