ISDE Bangladesh has distributed food aid to 1,000 flood-affected , helpless , low-income and disadvantaged families in Chakaria Municipality as part of its food assistance program for 5,000 flood-affected families in Chakaria, Pekua and Matamuhuri upazilas of Cox's Bazar . 

The food items were distributed to selected beneficiaries in the program organized at the Chakaria Korak Vidyapith ground on Friday. 

ISDE Bangladesh is implementing this humanitarian aid program funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center ( KSrelief) of Saudi Arabia. The organizers said that a large number of local people have lost their homes and livelihoods in the recent floods. Many have gone hungry due to lack of food. Again, this initiative has been taken to ensure food security of the poor and low-income families who are in crisis due to the continuous increase in the prices of daily food items .

Chakaria and Matamuhuri UNO  Shahin Delwar was present as the chief guest at the food distribution ceremony. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rupayan Deb was the special guest. Also present were prominent politicians A. M. Ali Akbar , Shahidul Islam , Sheikh Ahmed and Nasir Uddin , social workers Lion Ziaul Karim and Mansur Alam, and prominent businessman Shamsuddin Titu, along with local dignitaries.

Present on behalf of ISDE Bangladesh were Program Coordinator Jahangir Alam , Upazila Manager Jalal Uddin , Project Officer Supam Barua, and Project Officer (Mill) Taj Uddin .

 UNO  Shahin Delwar said , “ Humanitarian assistance programs play an important role for the disadvantaged people of the society. 

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rupayan Deb said , "The ISDE organization has distributed food items with sufficient transparency and accountability. 

Jahangir Alam, Program Coordinator of ISDE Bangladesh, said , “ ISDE will provide food assistance to 5,000 flood-affected families in Chakaria , Pekua and Matamuhuri upazilas. It is our commitment to stand by the disaster-prone and economically backward people. 

Each family was given a food package consisting of 10 kg of rice , 7 kg of pulses , 3 liters of soybean oil , 1 kg of sugar and 1 kg of salt. According to the organizers , this assistance will bring some relief to the food needs of flood-affected and low-income families amid the rising prices of daily necessities .
