International Women's Day celebrated in Manikchhari

International Women's Day was celebrated in Manikchhari with various arrangements under the slogan of rights, equality, empowerment and development of women and girls.
A discussion meeting on Women's Day was held at the Upazila Parishad meeting room on Saturday at 10:30 am.
The discussion was presided over by Md. Kamrul Alam, Women Affairs Officer of Manikchhari Upazila, Manikchhari Upazila Executive Officer Tahmina Afroz Bhuiyan, and Manikchhari Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi, Syed Safkat Ali and Manikchhari Thana Officer-in-Charge Mekh Mahmudul Hasan Rubel, along with all the divisional officers of the upazila, journalists, school teachers, students of various schools and AGO representatives were present as special guests.
The speakers at the Women's Day program organized by the Upazila Women's Affairs Department and in collaboration with the Upazila administration said that although women are moving forward, their progress is being hindered by the injustice and oppression of evil-minded murderers. It is time to forget the differences between men and women and move the country forward.
