Fire in Daulatdia gutted houes

Two houses have been gutted in a fire in Daulatdia of Goalando upazila of Rajbari. The incident took place at the house of Md. Rashid Mondal on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in front of the Model High School in Daulatdia Canal Ghat area of the upazila at around 9 am on Tuesday.
Locals said that suddenly in the morning, people around saw smoke coming out of Rashid Mandal's house. Later, they quickly went and saw that the house was on fire. They immediately informed the fire service, who later came and brought the fire under control. They also said that no one was in the house when the fire broke out. They believe that the fire started from an electrical short circuit. However, there were no casualties in the incident, but everything in the house was burnt to ashes. Rashid Mandal and Hasi had worked hard to build the houses, but now they have nothing left.
Hasi Begum, the mother of the affected family, said, "Hasi leaves her house for work in the morning. I went to the market to buy a saree, and in the meantime I heard that our house was on fire." When we arrived, we found that our last possessions, two houses, had been burned down. What will we eat now? I can't say where we will stay. Goalando Fire Service Station Officer Md. Abdur Rahman said, "As soon as we heard the news, our team went to the spot and brought the fire under control. We believe the fire started from an electrical short circuit. No casualties were reported in the incident."
