Drugs have become a terrible social disorder in today's world. In addition to the destruction of the person's life, it is having a wide negative impact on family, society and state. International Anti -Drug Day is celebrated on June 26 every year to attract the world's attention to this horrible problem. The main purpose of this day is to increase public awareness about the illness of the drug, create universal solidarity in anti -drug activities and to take integrated initiatives to create a healthy society.

> International Anti -Drug Day Background

The United Nations declared June 26 as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking to raise awareness about the illegal use of drugs and illegal trafficking. This day has become a symbol of the anti -drug movement and various countries have taken public awareness programs on this occasion.

> 32 types of drugs: There are currently 12 types of drug consumption in the country. The drugs that have been recovered so far are heroin, marijuana, cholai alcohol, domestic liquor, beer, rectified spirit, kadin, fencidil, pithidrin, TD Jesic, Bhang, Codine tablet, fermented, fermented, fermented Injection (Buprenarphin), Terahidrobanabil, XLMugerMorphin, Yaba, ISPill, Viagra, Sanagra, Tolwin, Potassium Permanganate, methyl, ethanol and ketone.In addition, some of the sleeping tablets, cidaxin including cidaxin, jambak or painkillers or tail tail burned, some were addicted.

> The horrors and effects of the drug

1. Casualty

The drug completely breaks the physical and mental health of the person.

There is permanent damage to the brain, which affects decision -making and behavior.

The chances of suicide or violence are increased.

2. Family breakdown

The drug addict caused the family unrest and financial crisis in the family.

Family relations deteriorate, the child's growth has an impact.

3. Degradation

The involvement of the drug addict for various crimes including theft, robbery, murder.

Immorality and instability in the society increase.

4. Economic loss

The cost of medical, rehabilitation and law and order sector increases.

Part of the working youth becomes drug addicts and national productivity is reduced.

> Drug situation in Bangladesh

Drug problems in Bangladesh are increasing at an alarming rate. Various drugs, including Yaba, Phensidyl, marijuana, heroin, are entering the border and are spreading rapidly in young society. The drug cycle is especially active around the border areas, city slums and educational institutions.

> Causes of the drug

1. Curiosity

At a young age, many people get involved in the persuasion of friends, following modernity or curiosity.

2. Family problems

Some of the bridal disputes, negligence or family turmoil are mentally disturbed by some of them.

3. Unemployment and disappointment

Losing goals of life, lack of jobs and disappointment, young people are rushed to drugs.

4 . Availability

The drug is easily available, and the weakness in controlling smuggling activities on the border has increased the problem.

> International initiatives and successes

UN UNDC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) is conducting activities around the world to prevent drug use and trafficking. In many countries, ham -based programs, drug rehabilitation centers, awareness education programs and legal structures have made progress in drug control.

> The action of the Government of Bangladesh

The government of Bangladesh has also taken various initiatives to eradicate the drug.

The main steps are to strengthen the campaign of the Directorate of Narcotics Control.

* Anti -narcotics law enacting and amendment * Establish rehabilitation centers and counseling activities. * Surveillance and smuggling at the border.

> The position of drugs in Islam and other religions

Drugs or drugs have been declared completely forbidden in other religions, including Islam.

The Qur'an says: "O believers! Surely the arrow of alcohol, gambling, idol and fate is the impure act of the devil. Therefore, stay away from them." (Surah Al-Maida, Verse 90)

In Hindu, Buddhist and Christian religions, the emphasis is on abstaining from self -restraint and intoxication.

> Resistance through Education

Education is the most effective way against drugs. It is possible to protect the younger generation by creating a combined awareness together with families, educational institutions and religious institutions.

Awareness Activities:* Anti-drug campaign in school and college. * Giving students moral education. * Promoting the story of successful drug cure.

> To do young people

* To keep yourself aware and to make others aware. * Cure drug addicts to help. * Keeping yourself busy with sports, cultural activities and social service.

> Our role in the formation of a drug free society

The role of every citizen in the formation of a drug free society is immense. It is not possible for the law and order or the government to prevent it alone.

> To do:

Give information to the law enforcement agencies about suspicious drug cycle.

If any of the neighbors, friends or relatives get involved in the drug, extend a helping hand.

To participate in social movements and mass awareness programs.

> Due to the use of drugs, various complex diseases are infected :-

1. Damage to the organs in the use of drugsTuberculosis, bronchitis, pneumonia, cancer, shortness of breath to cough. 

2. Damage to the eye: The eyebrows are shrinking, the loss of vision power. 

3. Liver damage: Jaundice, hepatitis, cirrhosis and cancer.

4. Kidney damage: Decrease in performance, frequent infection, finally kidney void, reduce the effectiveness of the heart. 

5. Damage to heart and blood method: Heart rate is abnormally increasing, heart -growing, reduced heart effectiveness.

 6. Change in blood cells, reduced immunity, anemia, etc. 

7. Damage to food recipe: Reducing interests, decreasing digestive power, ulcers, acidity, constipation hardship, cancer, etc.

 8. Damage to the skin: Due to lack of vitamins and nutrients, the skin becomes dry. Itching, infected with fungi, boils, wounds, etc.

9. Damage of sexual ability and reproduction: Decrease of sexual ability, reduction of sexual streams, childbirth from distorted Venus, disability of childbirth. 

10. Sefeilis, gonorrhea, AIDS etc. This effect is more severe for girls. The baby in the womb is distorted, delivery of dead child, the low weight of the baby, the newborn of the newborn with birth. The brain and nervous system and

 11 .Mental damage: Delief in addiction, tendency of suicide, unconsciousness about the environment and surroundings, dizziness, disappearance of thought, lack of nervous weakness, lack of memory, instability and impatience, change of personality, loss of confidence, fear, depressionEtc. mental illness occurs in many cases.> Importance of International Anti -Drug Day.

This day is not just a symbolic day, it is a promise day - we should be drug free and make others aware. On this day we should take a new determination - "Not a drug, love life"

Finally, I would like to promote the horrors of the drug and promote more and promotion of the mosque by the Imam of the mosque, the priests of the temple, the churches of the church. In the school-college textbook, the harmful aspects of drug use should be highlighted. All the governments, political parties and politicians have to work from the same platform for the interest of the country and society to control the drug. And drug addicts and smugglers are the largest enemies of the country and the nation. Social resistance against them is needed by all. Public awareness has to be made about the destructive impact of drug use and the anti -drug social movement should be spread all over the country. There is no alternative to building a healthy healthy society to protect future generations from the consumption of drugsSo, let's all help the drug addict, give them full medical care. Only then will they come back to the family without the burden of society, but they will guide the society properlySo the International Anti -Drug Day reminds us of that initiative and encourages us to fight new. Let us all swear together - not a drug, we will choose life. This is how a healthy, conscious and drug free Bangladesh will be developed.
