A colourful rally and discussion meeting was held to celebrate the International Women's Day -2021 in Goalando of Rajbari in front of the theme of rights, equality, empowerment women and daughters.

A colourful rally came out of the upazila premises on Saturday at 8:30 am organized by the Upazila Women's Department and Goalando Municipality. Later, a discussion meeting was held in the upazila meeting on the occasion of the day.

Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Salma Begum presided over the meeting as the chief guest, Upazila Executive Officer. Nahidur Rahman.

Upazila Social Services Officer was present as special guest. Ruhul Amin, Accountant of Goaland Municipality Md. Rezaul Karim, Sahajuddin Mondal Institute School Head Teacher Arifa Akhter and teachers of different schools.

Nasrin Akhter Eti, assistant teacher of Haji Dudukhan Para Government Primary School, conducted the meeting.

Speaking on the guest, the speakers said that if women are educated, the whole society will be educated in the future. Women have to learn to respect. They don't have the opportunity to look differently. Being a boy or a girl cannot discriminate among children. Women have a role in every field as well as men. Women have to earn the rights of women. They also said that the role of women in the July movement is unacceptable. You have to protest the wrongdoing.

Women are keeping the signature of qualifications in all areas including the judiciary, administration, education, medical, armed forces, law enforcement. It is the expectation that everyone, regardless of women and men, will act as companions, regardless of women's development.
