Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh Baharul Alam BPM has said that the security system of Ijtema Maidan has been much better than ever considering the overall situation. The IGP said this during a briefing of journalists after visiting the security system of the World Ijtema Maidan in Tongi on Wednesday.

He said the police are capable of dealing with any kind of destruction with the help of all.

At this time he also expected the media cooperation. Responding to a question to reporters, the IGP said, "We are hopeful that the organizers of both sides of Iztema will complete the Ijtema peacefully with great responsibility." The IGP expressed hope that Ijtema will be completed safely and in a peaceful environment with the concerted efforts of all. Ijtema Maidan and surrounding areas will be required to perform the necessary number of police. There will be Bomb Disposal Unit, Swat Team, Doug Squad, Explosive Team, Crime Scene Van, Theft, Canthary and PocketMar Prevention Team and Navy patrol. Special security measures have also been taken at the railway station. In addition, Ijtema Maidan will be covered by CCTV. The security measures of the entire Ijtema Maidan have been strengthened through the drone and watch towers.

At the entrances of Ijtema Maidan there will be a archway setting up and a handheld metal detector. Police and RAB members will be deployed in clothes and white robes. Special security measures have been taken for the VIPs and foreign guests at Ijtem. Additional IG (Crime and Operations) Md. Akram Hossain, Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Commissioner. Md. Nazmul Karim Khan and other senior police officers, Tablig Mubarbis were present.
