Grand finale of Junior Knockout Football Tournament held in Bhogdanga.

The grand finale of the “The Junior Knockout Football Tournament 2026” was held in a festive atmosphere at the Middle Kumarpur ML High School ground in Bhogdanga Union under Kurigram Sadar Upazila.
The final match took place at 3:00 pm on Friday attracting a large number of local sports lovers and football enthusiasts. From the morning, excitement was noticeable among local residents, while the number of spectators increased around the field before the match began.
People of different ages, particularly local youths and teenagers, gathered in large numbers to enjoy the exciting final match.
According to the organizers, the tournament was arranged with the aim of encouraging the younger generation to participate in sports and keeping them away from drugs, terrorism and various anti-social activities.
Mohammad Abdul Gani Mia, chairman candidate of No. 3 Bhogdanga Union Parishad and Senior Joint Convener of Bhogdanga Union BNP, attended the grand finale as the chief guest.
He urged young people to stay away from drugs and anti-social activities and to become regularly involved in sports.
Among others present at the event were Abdul Malek, Joint Convener of Bhogdanga Union BNP and former student leader; Maulana Ahmad Hossain, Joint Convener of Bhogdanga Union BNP and former Senior Joint Convener of Kurigram District Ulama Dal; and Mofizul Islam, Joint Convener.
Youth Dal Joint Conveners Ershad, Alamgir and Rafiqul, leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, local dignitaries, sports organizers, players and a large number of spectators were also present.
The final match witnessed intense competition between the two teams. The entire field echoed with cheers and applause from enthusiastic spectators. The match became highly competitive with impressive performances, attacking moves and counter-attacks from both sides.
At the end of the match, prizes were distributed among the winning and runner-up teams by the organizers.
The organizers said they would continue to arrange similar sporting events in Bhogdanga Union in the future to encourage greater participation among local youths.
