Former Dhamrai MP Malek arrested

Police arrested MA Malek, former Awami League member of parliament from Dhamrai constituency on Wednesday night.
Malek has been named in four cases filed with the Ashulia Police Station over the killings of students and members of the public during the July Uprising, as per Ashulia thana police confirmation.
He was arrested from his house in Mirpur following a raid on Wednesday night, said Dhaka Additional Police Superintendent (Savar Circle) Shahinur Kabir.
Malek was at the Ashulia Police Station. He was sent to a Dhaka court on Thursday noon, the police officer said.
