Alhaj Sarwar Aramgir, MP elected from Fatikchhari, said that everyone, regardless of party affiliation, must be united in developing the physical infrastructure of Fatikchhari. Quality development activities must be carried out. If the engineering department, contracting organizations and public representatives work together, sustainable development of Fatikchhari will be achieved.

He was delivering the chief guest speech at a view-sharing meeting with contractors working in Fatikchhari at the Bir Muktijoddha Zahurul Haque Hall of Fatikchhari Upazila Parishad on Saturday afternoon.

Fatikchhari UNO Sayeed Mohammad Ibrahim presided over the event and Upazila Engineer Junaid Absar Chowdhury moderated it. Fatikchhari Municipal Engineer Bikash Chandra Das, Nazirhat Municipal Assistant Engineer Salma Akhtar, Chittagong District Contractors Association General Secretary Asaduzzaman Titu, Fatikchhari Contractors Association former president Jahangir Alam, former chairman Mobarak Hossain Kanchan, former chairman Jahangir Alam, contractors Mohammad Elias, Mohsin Haider, Forkanul Amin, Syed Zia Samrat, Mansur Alam Chowdhury, Solaiman Akash, Sanaullah and others.

He highlighted various inconsistencies in the contracting business, including the increase in the price of raw materials such as bricks, sand, stones, rods, and cement, the increase in labor wages, and the creation of steemit based on the old rate schedule.

UNO of Fatikchhari said, "Contractors are the government's development partners. Therefore, the tendered and contractor-appointed works should be completed quickly. Otherwise, new project work cannot be started at the new rate."
