Two notable events took place in Morelganj, Bagerhat — the approval of the Local Level Adaptation Plan (LLAP) and an interfaith dialogue promoting peace on Monday.
The LLAP approval meeting was held at 12 PM at the Upazila Parishad conference room, chaired by UNO Md. Habibullah. Organized under CARE Bangladesh’s "Nabapallab" project with UK International Development support, the plan was presented by project officer Nazmul Haque Rezowan. It was developed with community participation, resource mapping, and risk analysis.
Earlier at 10 AM, a peace dialogue titled “Let’s Build a Peaceful and Harmonious Bangladesh” was held at the same venue, organized by the Peace Facilitator Group (PFG). Religious leaders, political representatives, and officials participated. Speakers stressed unity, caution against misinformation, and fostering interfaith harmony for a just society.
