
Bhola Dist Chhatra Dal President dies of injuries in clash with police

The president of Bhola District Chhatra Dal was injured in the clash between BNP leaders and workers and the police. Noor Alam passed away.
He died on Wednesday (August 3) while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.
Bhola Sadar Upazila BNP General Secretary. Helal Uddin confirmed this. A clash between BNP and the police took place at Bhola on Sunday (July 31) around 11 o'clock in protest against the increase in oil and gas prices and load shedding as part of the central programme.
Clashes started in Kalinath Roy Bazar area in front of the district BNP office, later it spread to Sadar Road. BNP workers threw bricks in the clash. On the contrary, policemen are seen firing tearshells and rubber bullets.
In this, a worker of the volunteer group named Abdul Rahim was killed and more than half a hundred activists including five members of the police were injured.
Two people who were shot were sent to Barisal. Bhola District Chhatra Dal President was among them. Noor Alam From there he was taken to Dhaka for better treatment.
