Betagi LGED's initiative to enhance beauty, of roads, clear bushes, weeds

A bush, jungle and weed clearing campaign has been conducted in Betagi, Barguna to increase road safety and beauty and ensure a suitable environment for movement on Sunday.
At the initiative of the Betagi Upazila Engineer's Office LGED, LCS workers cleaned the bushes, jungles and weeds in the solder areas of various roads including Betagi to Fuljhuri GC Road, Kazirabad to Kalikabari Launchghat Bazar Road, Niyamati GC to Bakerganj RED (Kanki Bazar) Betagi Area Road, Betagi (Bus Stand) to Niyamati GC Road, etc.
It is learnt that the excessive growth of bushes, jungles and weeds on both sides of the road was creating obstacles for the movement of vehicles and pedestrians. In addition, the beauty of the road was also being spoiled. For this reason, this cleaning campaign was conducted as part of regular maintenance activities.
Local driver, Md. Sagir Hossain, said that clearing the roads of weeds and jungle has benefited us and it is also nice to see the roads.
LGED Betagi Upazila Engineer Sheikh Toufiq Aziz said that to keep the roads safe and clean in all upazilas, the solder areas of various important roads will be cleaned in phases. In addition, road maintenance activities will also continue regularly.
