Attempt to murder case : Two leaders of Sramik League, Chhatra League arrested in Rupganj

Joint forces have arrested two leaders of Sramik League and Chhatra League in the case of attempted murder of a person named Ayub Ali in Rupganj of Narayanganj. They were arrested from Tarabo and Palkhan areas of the upazila on Saturday midnight.
The arrested are Mohammad Ali (51), son of late Arab Ali of Tarabo Hatipara area of Rupganj Upazila and General Secretary of Tarob Municipality Road Transport Sramik League Committee, and Zaman Molla (28), son of Rustam Molla of Palkhan area and president of Daudpur Union No. 8 Ward Chhatra League.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rupganj Police Station Liaquat Ali confirmed the arrest.
Plaintiff Ayyub Ali mentioned in that case, the defendants reached in front of Manik Mia's house in Chanpara Purnabasan Kendra area around 5 pm on August 5 and blocked Ayyub Ali's path. At one point Ayub brutally beat Ali. Later, after stabbing him in the stomach with a sharp weapon and seriously injuring him, the woman came out.
At one point, the accused shot him with a pistol in his hand and injured him in the abdomen and on his left and right legs. Later he was rescued by local people and treated at Dhaka Kakrail Erera Hospital and later Banshri Faraji Hospital.
