ACC raid at Gopalganj Primary Teachers’ Training Institute

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted an enforcement operation at the Primary Teachers’ Training Institute (PTI) in Gopalganj on May 19, 2025, following allegations of various irregularities and corruption. The operation was carried out by an ACC enforcement team from the Gopalganj district office under directives from the ACC headquarters.
Preliminary findings from the raid identified several irregularities, including:failure to maintain a register for the distribution of materials to instructors since October 1, 2019 ;
rregularities in the allocation of slips for the experimental school and proof of irregularities in the purchase of UPS in the 2023-24 financial year.
According to ACC sources, the data and information collected during the operation will be analyzed, and a detailed report will be sent to the headquarters. The report will recommend necessary actions regarding the identified irregularities.
This ACC operation is expected to play a significant role in ensuring transparency and accountability in the education sector.
