
5 primary schools inaugurated : Students must be educated in conducive Environment: Prof Dr. Badrun Nahar Roy

At the initiative of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, five new government primary school buildings were inaugurated in Dhaka Metropolis and the eastern region as part of the construction and infrastructure development (1st Revised) project with electronic data tracking on Sunday.

The inauguration ceremony of the Armanitola Government Primary School was held. The project is being implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) under the supervision of the Directorate of Primary Education of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
During the chief guest’s speech at the event, Professor Dr. Badrun Nahar Roy Poddar, Honorable Deputy Education Minister, stated that a new school building has been constructed in Dhaka Metropolis to ensure the mental development of children, guarantee 100% enrollment, and create a beautiful environment. This will enable children to study in a pleasant and modern setting. She further added that new government primary school buildings will be constructed outside Dhaka in the future. She emphasized that children do not only learn from reading books but also from observing the overall activities of the school. They spend more time with their parents, learning from them the most. Therefore, the cooperation of teachers and parents is essential in improving the quality of education, alongside building beautiful schools.
In the special guest’s speech, Abul Tahir Md. Masud Rana, Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, stated that the government is working to enhance the quality of primary education. In the president’s speech, Abul Nur Md. Shamsuzzaman, Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, said that today’s children will lead the country in the future. The special guest, Md. Abdur Rashid Mia, Chief Engineer of LGED, stated that they are committed to constructing quality, sustainable, and beautiful school buildings. The project director, Md. Saifur Rahman, delivered the welcome address, focusing on the construction and infrastructure development of government primary schools in Dhaka Metropolis and the eastern region.
Also present at the event were LGED’s Additional Chief Engineer Md. Shahidul Ali, Supervising Engineer (Education) Md. Mahbubul Alam, Deputy Project Director S.M. Moksed Billah, Dhaka District Executive Engineer Md. Baduzzaman Mia, LGED’s Senior Assistant Engineer (Education) Md. Kabir Uddin Shah, and other senior officials from LGED and the Directorate of Primary Education.
To create a beautiful educational environment, ensure 100% enrollment, and promote the mental development of children, the construction and infrastructure development of 156 government primary school buildings, equipped with modern facilities, are underway as part of this project. Consequently, five government primary schools were inaugurated. Armanitola Government Primary School, Uttar Khan Laily Rahman Govt Primary School, Walk-Up Govt Primary School in Mirpur, Debdar Government Primary School in Mirpur, and Suritapur Kebatbad Madrasah Govt reg Primary School. These five schools have a total of 74 classrooms and 29 wash blocks.
