3 arrested with 9 domestic weapons, drugs in Sarishabari

The army and Sarishabari police arrested three people with country-made weapons, drugs and cash in Sarishabari, Jamalpur. The army conducted the operation from Monday night to Tuesday morning. Later, the army handed over the arrested people to Sarishabari police on Tuesday morning.
According to sources from Sarishabari Police Station, the army conducted two separate joint operations in the Pakhimara area of the upazila. During this, the top criminal and the leader of the teenage gang, former UP member of Aona Union Parishad, Mobarak Hossain Raja (35), was arrested.
On the other hand, a raid was conducted in the Mendarber area of the same union and drug dealer Mohammad Nazir Uddin (60) and his associate Faruk Hossain (35) were arrested.
During this time, 9 domestic weapons, 15 packets of Yaba, 3 grams of heroin, 7 mobile phones, 6,557 taka of drug money, lighters and various other paraphernalia used for drug consumption and trading were recovered from the arrested persons.
In this regard, Sarishabari Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Md. Chand Mia said, "A top terrorist king and two drug dealers were arrested in a joint operation by the army and Sarishabari Police Station. During this, domestic weapons, heroin, and Yaba were recovered from them. Later, a case was filed and the arrested were sent to jail."
