A huge mass march and rally was held in Rangpur Metropolitan City on Saturday afternoon.on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the July Revolution.

The protest march organized by 11 parties including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami started from the local July Chattar, Town Hall Chattar, Public Library Ground, passed through the city's City Bazar, Supermarket, Payra Chattar, Jahaj Company Corner, Press Club Chattar, Grand Hotel Corner and ended with a rally at Shapla Chattar.

The rally was held under the chairmanship of Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member, Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer and 11 Party Chief Coordinator Vice Principal Maulana ATM Azam Khan. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member and Rangpur-Dinajpur Regional Team Member and MP for Rangpur-3 Sadar Constituency Prof Mahbubur Rahman Belal was the chief guest. The special guests were Prof Maulana Raihan Siraji, Metro Assistant Secretary and MP for Gangachara constituency of Rangpur-1, and Prof Anwarul Islam, MP for Bhurungamari-Nageshwari constituency of Kurigram-1. Among others, Jamaat-e-Islami District Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque, District Convener of NCP Abdullah Al Mamun, Central Majlish-e-Shura Member of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan Maulana Ataullah, District President of Labour Party Shamsuddin Raja, District President of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Maulana Ibrahim Khalil, AB party Central leader Professor Golzer Hossain, Metropolitan Member Secretary of AB Party Mahbubar Rahman, Central Business Education Secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir Muhammad Nurul Huda.

The speakers at the rally said that they do not want to accept or see any more excuse regarding the implementation of the July Charter.They said “We want to see the implementation of the simultaneous parliamentary elections and referendum immediately."
