At the initiative of Baraigram Smart Press Club, the first issue of the printed and published news magazine Baraigram Darpan was unveiled by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Laila Jannatul Ferdous.

The unveiling ceremony was held on Wednesday at the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.

During the unveiling, she stated, “Baraigram Smart Press Club has already earned a reputation for presenting truthful, objective, and constructive news. I hope the club will continue its courageous role in maintaining this achievement in the future. The Upazila Administration will always stand with the ‘Baraigram Smart Press Club’ in serving the people. All necessary support will be provided to ensure the continued publication of this magazine.”

The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Ashraful Islam, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Social Services Officer Md. Rezaul Karim, Upazila Rural Development Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, and several distinguished guests.

Among them were the President of Baraigram Smart Press Club, Alhaj Saifur Rahman, Vice President Abdus Salam, Organizational Secretary Alhaj Ashraful Islam, General Secretary Almgir Kabiraj, Joint General Secretary M.A. Karim, Freedom Fighters Affairs Secretary Alhaj Moslem Uddin, Assistant Organizational Secretary Sabdul Ali, Religious Affairs Secretary Maulana Zakir Hossain and Abul Kalam Azad.

It is mentioned that Baraigram Darpan covers various developmental activities in society, socio-economic and political issues, anti-discrimination student movements, and reports on government and non-government organizations, NGOs, education, and healthcare.
