A workshop on the Employment-Intensive Investment Program (EIIP) and SSTC was held at the BRAC Centre in Savar on Tuesday.
A workshop on the Employment-Intensive Investment Program (EIIP) and SSTC was held at the BRAC Centre in Savar on Tuesday.
Md. Abdur Rashid Mia, Chief Engineer of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), delivered his speech as the Chairperson.
In his speech, he referenced the International Labour Organization (ILO), noting that LGED currently has 130 ongoing projects. These projects encompass various development activities, providing employment opportunities to numerous workers. He highlighted that LGED primarily operates in rural, urban, and water resource sectors.
Representatives of the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen attended the workshop.
