Over 50 underprivileged children get  free circumcisions in Sylhet Sadar

Osmaninagar (Sylhet) Correspondent

Over fifty children from low-income families were provided free circumcisions during a daylong medical camp held in the Khalpar area under No. 7 Mogalgaon Union of Sylhet Sadar Upazila.

The event was organized on Saturday by the Khalpar Al Islah Social Welfare Youth Club at Khalpar Government Primary School.

A. K. M. Abdullah, former Chairman of No. 7 Mogalgaon Union Parishad and advisor to the organization, formally inaugurated the camp at 10:00 am. President of the Khalpar Al Islah Social Welfare Youth Club Mohammad Abdul Alal, Vice President Shahab Uddin, General Secretary Mohammad Monjurul Bari, and executive committee members of the organization were present during the opening.

Local residents shared that financial constraints had previously prevented many families in the area from affording the procedure for their children. Expressing relief, Wahid Ali, a resident of Khalpar village, noted that he had been unable to get his 15-year-old son Mamun Ahmad circumcised due to economic hardship, expressing gratitude to the organizers for conducting the free community initiative.
