Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Science and Technology Faqir Mahbub Anam on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a series of key development projects in the public health and education sectors across Madhupur upazila of Tangail.
Before commencing his official scheduled programs, the Minister visited the grave of the late former Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal leader Sohel Talukdar to offer prayers and spent time consoling the bereaved family members.
The Minister then laid the foundation stone for a major water supply project on the premises of Kakraid High School. Implemented by the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE), the project features the construction of a 100,000-liter capacity water tank, which is expected to play a critical role in ensuring a continuous, arsenic-free supply of pure drinking water for the local community.
Following this, the Minister inaugurated newly constructed four-story buildings at four prominent educational institutions in the upazila: Jatabari Fazil (Degree) Madrasah, Gangair Nazmul Islam Fazil Madrasah, Madhupur Adarsha Islamia Kamil Madrasah, and Shalikha Fazil Madrasah.
Speaking as the chief guest at these events, Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam stated that the government is working tirelessly to upgrade educational quality, construct modern academic infrastructure, and ensure fundamental civic amenities for all citizens. To bring discipline and transparency to the education sector, he emphasized that the government is conducting cheating-free and fair public examinations so that genuinely meritorious students receive their rightful evaluation.
