
Indian liquor, cattle vaccine seized at Joypurhat border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a consignment of Indian liquor and banned cattle vaccines at the Uchanah border of Panchbibi upazila in Joypurhat.
The seizure took place on Sunday afternoon during a raid conducted by members of the Hatkhola BGB camp under Joypurhat 20 Battalion at the Purbo Uchana border.
According to BGB sources, the seized items include:337 pieces of Indian Goat pox vaccinee ,191 pieces of sterile diluent and 38 juice-pack-style bottles of SC STAR liquor
The estimated market value of the seized goods is approximately Tk 3 lakh.
Hatkhola Camp Commander Md. Saidur Bari ssid, goods were recovered as smugglers attempted to sneak them into the country, evading the watchful eyes of BGB personnel stationed along the border. He added that the Indian products were recovered from a field approximately 50 yards inside Bangladesh, near Main Pillar 281/35 S along the Purbo Uchana border.
