
7 Jubo League members detained in N'ganj

Police detained seven people including an Awami League activist in Fatullah, Narayanganj early morning. Police suspect they were preparing for a political procession. The arrests were made Monday (April 21) from the Shibu Market area of Fatullah. One of the detainees admitted he previously participated in several Awami League rallies and programs.
the detainees include contractor and Jubo League leader Abul (an associate of district Awami League organizing secretary Mir Sohel, accused in a student murder case), Molla Zafar, Sohag, Uzzal, and four others.
Reportedly, Awami League activists were preparing for a procession early Monday at Shibu Market. Based on a tip-off, police arrived at the scene and detained them.Fatullah Police Station OC Shariful Islam said, “We detained seven people from Shibu Market early this morning. We’re interrogating them and trying to confirm their identities and if others are involved. Some claim to be masons, others gave different identities. None admitted political affiliation except one who said he used to attend Awami League programs. We're verifying their mobile phones and other details.”
