Upazila administration's tree plantation program continues in Goalando

The upazila administration has continued the tree plantation program to green Goalando in Rajbari.
On Thursday morning, the Goalanda Upazila administration initiated the planting of saplings of various species in the premises of Tenapcha Kazi Monakka Begum Government Primary School. The tree plantation program began on Friday.
As part of the greening program, the upazila administration planted seedlings of nuts, amalaki, chabeda and different varieties of mango.
Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Nahidur Rahman was present at the program and personally planted saplings.
The school's headmaster, Nasima Akhter, along with other teachers and students, were present at the event.
Regarding the tree plantation program, UNO Nahidur Rahman said, "To protect the environment of Goalando, he advised the upazila administration as well as the locals to plant trees in their own areas, educational institutions, and wastelands and surrounding vacant lots."
