Kotalipara police have arrested two members of a cattle theft gang, identified as Sohan Sheikh (23) and Sagar Sheikh (25) on Monday night.
A police team led by SI Saddam Hossain Khan Dipto of Kotalipara Police Station conducted drives in different areas of Kotalipara and Gopalganj, based on secret information and with the help of information technology. During the operation, the two members of the cattle theft gang were arrested.
The arrestees are Md. Sohan Sheikh, son of late Hanif Sheikh of Manidah village under Gopalganj Sadar upazila, and Sagar Sheikh, son of Kajol Sheikh of Dhoral village under Kotalipara upazila. On Tuesday, they were shown arrested in a cattle theft case filed with Kotalipara Police Station and sent to jail.
