A deep pall of gloom has descended upon the Bangladeshi expatriate community in Spain following the tragic death of Alif, a young man who journeyed abroad with dreams of supporting his family through hard-earned remittances.
Friends, acquaintances, and fellow expatriates who shared the struggles and aspirations of overseas life with Alif expressed profound shock and disbelief at his sudden demise.
The tragic news has similarly devastated his native village of Uttargaon in Kaliganj. Relatives, neighbors, and locals remain in deep mourning, recalling the bright, smiling youth who left home with high hopes of building a better future for his family.
Confirming the details, the victim's cousin and Barcelona-based expatriate, Shafiqul Islam Russell, stated that Alif’s body was laid to rest in his family graveyard following a funeral prayer (Janazah) after the Friday prayers in Uttargaon, Kaliganj.
