Symphony Launches New Feature Phone and Smartphone in Bangladesh

StaffCorrespondent

Bangladeshi mobile phone manufacturer Symphony Mobile has introduced two new devices to the local market: the Symphony L137 feature phone and the Helio 100 smartphone. The announcement was made by Mohammad Tanjim Ul Islam, Deputy Manager at Symphony, as part of the company’s ongoing effort to offer innovative and affordable technology to a wide range of users.

The Symphony L137 is aimed at users who prioritize durability, long battery life, and essential functionalities. The device features a 2.4-inch display, support for up to 1,000 phonebook contacts, and a 2500mAh fixed battery. It also includes a Type-C charger and a large LED torch — both rare additions in this category.

Notably, the L137 sports a modern, sleek design, distinguishing it from conventional feature phones. While official pricing has not been released, the device is expected to fall within the BDT 1,000 to 2,500 range, based on the pricing of similar models in Symphony’s portfolio.

On the other hand, the Helio 100 is a mid-range smartphone launched under the Helio sub-brand of Edison Group, the parent company of Symphony. It features a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, along with a 64MP triple rear camera setup that includes a Sony IMX682 main sensor. A 32MP front camera supports high-resolution selfies and 2K video recording at 30fps.

The Helio 100 runs on the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset with an octa-core processor, 8GB RAM (expandable), and 256GB internal storage. It is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. The smartphone also includes Android 14, in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, dual stereo speakers, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Priced at BDT 19,999 in Bangladesh and approximately ₹14,300 in India, the Helio 100 is now available in two color variants: Cosmic Gold and Supernova Blue.

These product launches follow Symphony’s recent introductions of the HERO 30 feature phone on February 24 and the MAX 10 budget smartphone on March 13. Both new devices reflect Symphony’s continued focus on serving diverse consumer needs across various price points.

“We aim to empower users with the latest technology at accessible prices,” said Mohammad Tanjim Ul Islam. “Whether someone needs a reliable feature phone or a performance-driven smartphone, we want to ensure there's a Symphony or Helio device for them.”
