Police Nari Kallyan Samity (PUNAK), Kushtia, organised a sewing machine distribution programme on Wednesday with the aim of empowering underprivileged and destitute women through self-employment.

The programme was held at 2:00 PM on Wednessay at the conference hall of Kushtia Police Lines.

The Superintendent of Police, Kushtia, Mohammad Jasim Uddin, PPM (Bar), attended the event as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Superintendent of Police appreciated the humanitarian initiatives of PUNAK Kushtia and assured full support to further strengthen its welfare activities. He encouraged PUNAK to continue organising more programmes that contribute to the socio-economic development of disadvantaged people.

The programme was chaired by Mrs. Sadia Afrin, President of PUNAK, Kushtia. In her remarks, she said that PUNAK is committed to standing beside the underprivileged and helpless members of society within its capacity. She expressed hope that such humanitarian activities would continue in the future to help more families become self-reliant.

The beneficiary women expressed their heartfelt gratitude for receiving the sewing machines. They highly appreciated the initiative of PUNAK and offered prayers for the President of PUNAK and all members of the PUNAK family for their continued welfare and success.
