Indian drone crash sparks tension at Patgram Border, situation under BGB control

An Indian drone crashed inside Bangladesh territory at the Moglibari border in Burimari Union of Patgram Upazila, Lalmonirhat, creating tension in the area.
The drone fell approximately 20 yards inside Bangladesh near Main Pillar 841/8S after suffering a mechanical failure and crashed into a cornfield.
Following the incident, members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) intensified patrols along the border in an attempt to recover the drone, causing fear and unrest among local residents.
The incident took place around 12:30 PM on Tuesday (May 5), while the drone was reportedly conducting video surveillance over the border area.According to local sources, the incident occurred within the area of Burimari BOP under Teesta Battalion (61 BGB). A BSF patrol team from the 98/Himalaya Camp was operating the drone when it passed over a person working in a nearby field and suddenly lost control due to a mechanical fault, crashing into the cornfield with a loud noise.
The person present at the scene immediately informed the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). Upon receiving the information, BGB personnel arrived at the spot and recovered the drone.
Local residents said that after the crash, BSF members from the Himalaya Camp attempted to locate the drone but denied that it had fallen

According to BGB officials, the drone is currently in their custody, and legal procedures regarding the matter are underway.
