Freshers' reception held at BAUET

Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET), Natore, organized a Freshers' Reception for the newly admitted students of the Summer–2026 Semester. The program was held on Tuesday at BAUET Plaza, with the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Brigadier General S M Lutfor Rahman, attending as the Chief Guest.
The event was hosted by Aniruddha Sarkar, a student of the Department of Law and Justice, and Probha Anjum and Sumaiya Oishi, students of the Department of English. Speeches were delivered by Dr. Engr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering and Proctor of the University; Md. Masudar Rahman, Assistant Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Student Welfare Advisor; Nuren Afra Nawal, a student of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering (ICE), representing the senior students; and Md. Atif Bin Nasin, a newly admitted student of the Department of Business Administration, representing the freshers.
Among others present were Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, psc (Retd.), Treasurer; Colonel Hla Hen Maung, PBGMS (Retd.), Controller of Examinations; Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Science & Humanities and Law; Prof Dr. Mohammad Nurul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Prof Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuyan, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical, Computer & Communication Engineering (ECCE) and Director of IQAC; Major Md. Monjinul Mubin (Retd.), Acting Registrar; department heads, faculty members, officers, and the newly admitted students.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the freshers were warmly welcomed by senior students with tuberose flowers. To encourage a strong interest in academic excellence, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor presented valuable books to the newly admitted students. To make the occasion memorable, a photo session was arranged, followed by a delightful cultural program organized by the BAUET Cultural Club, featuring performances by BAUET students.
