Financial aid provided by Army on 'Sangrai ' in Bandarban

On the occasion of Mahā Sangrai Poi, one of the religious and cultural festivals of the Marma community in Bandarban, the army has extended financial assistance to the followers of Buddhism.
On Thursday afternoon, at the Sena Zone ground premises, Major Parvez Rahman of the army region (G2I) was present as the chief guest and distributed the financial aid.
At that time, the chief guest handed over Tk 1.5 lakh in cash among the beneficiaries, funded by the army.
While providing the financial support, Chief Guest Major Parvez Rahman said that, like in the past, the army has always extended a helping hand in celebrating festivals of all communities. He also assured that in the future as well, the army would stand beside all communities in celebrating their religious festivals.
