
Ethnic community members to lead Boishakhi Shobhajatra in Dhaka: Asif Nazrul

Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul on Saturday said this year’s Boishakhi Ananda Shobhajatra in Dhaka will be brought out with members of the country’s various ethnic communities at the forefront.
He spoke about the rich diversity within Bangladesh, saying, “Each ethnic group has its own language, culture, and food habits. The present government wants to move forward in unison with all communities.”
The adviser was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Tanchangya community’s annual reunion and the Tanchangya National Ghila Game Tournament, held at the ground of Reicha High School in Bandarban Sadar Upazila on Saturday afternoon.
According to the organisers, a total of 37 Tanchangya teams are participating in this year’s tournament.
Presided over by Rajumoy Tonchongya, member of the Bandarban Hill District Council, the event was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ara Rini, Superintendent of Police Md Shahidullah Kawsar, and several prominent leaders from the Tonchongya community.
