BMP imposes restrictions in Barishal ahead of SSC Exams

Like across the country, the SSC and equivalent examinations for 2025 are set to begin in Barishal Metropolitan area from today, Thursday.
Exams will be held across 24 centres in the city — 18 centres for SSC, 2 for SSC and Dakhil (Vocational), and 4 for Dakhil.
To ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examinations, Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) has imposed a complete restriction within 200 yards of the exam centres. Prohibited activities include the use of sound systems or loudspeakers, gatherings of five or more persons, processions or meetings, collection or transport of bricks or stones with malicious intent, and carrying of arms, ammunition, or explosives — under Sections 30, 31, and 34 of the Barishal Metropolitan Police Act, 2009.
The public notice, signed by Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam, stated that legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the restrictions imposed in public interest.
