Mohammad Belayet Hossain, who is currently working as Commandant at Inservice Training Center Satkhira, has been appointed as the new Police Super (SP) of Barishal.
On Sunday (September 15), 22 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police were transferred in a notification issued by the Police Branch-1 of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Among them, Superintendents of Police of 10 districts including Barishal have been transferred to various police units and new officers have been posted as Superintendents of Police in 12 districts including Barisal.
Senior Assistant Secretary Habibul Hasan signed the notification as per the order of the President.
Apart from replacing Belayet Hossain as Superintendent of Barishal District Police, current SP Ahedul Islam was transferred to the office of Rangpur Range DIG.
Incidentally, Ahidul Islam joined Barishal as Superintendent of Police on August 28, 2022.
