3-day Land Fair inaugurated in Morelganj

A 3-day Land Fair has commenced in Morelganj, Bagerhat.
The Fair was inaugurated on Monday at 10:30 AM at the premises of the Morelganj Upazila Land Office by UNO Md. Habibullah and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Badruddoza.
Newly- posted OC of Morelganj Police Station Md. Motlubur Rahman, Social Welfare Officer Gautam Kumar Biswas, Public Health Engineer Monirul Islam, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Abdullah Al Jabir, Disability Affairs Officer Kaykobad Akonji, Youth Development Officer Ikhtiar Uddin, Food Officer Dhrubo Mondal, ICT Officer Tridip Sarkar, Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Shahadat Hossain, Information Service Officer Sharmin Akhter, President of Morelganj Upazila Press Club H.M. Shahidul Islam, President of Morelganj Press Club H.M. Moinul Islam, and various media personnel were present.
The event began with the release of colourful balloons followed by a vibrant rally that started from the Kuthibari Land Office premises and paraded through the main streets of the town. Later, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Badruddoza provided land-related services online directly from the fair stalls, allowing visitors to receive instant consultations and necessary services.In the second phase of the fair, a land-related quiz competition was held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. Students from colleges, secondary schools, and madrasas participated in the competition. Prizes were distributed among the winners at the end of the contest.In the third phase, a seminar was held in the Upazila Parishad meeting room under the theme “Pay land development tax regularly, protect your land.” Surveyor Md. Barkatullah from the Upazila Land Office and Press Club President H.M. Shahidul Islam delivered speeches.
At the end of the seminar, the newly appointed OC Md. Motlubur Rahman and Upazila Accounts Officer Mir Enamul Haque were welcomed with flowers on behalf of the Upazila administration.
