The World Handwashing Day was celebrated under the initiative of the Gafargaon Upazila Administration and the Public Health Engineering Department with the slogan 'Be the Hero of Handwashing'.
On the occasion , a procession and handwashing exhibition were organized on Thursday morning. At the same time, students of various schools were taught the method of handwashing.
Presided over by Gafargaon Upazila Nirbahi Officer N.M. Abdullah-Al-Mamun, Upazila Engineer, LGED, Abu Bakkar Siddique, Public Health Engineer Chaiful Islam, Women Affairs Officer Khaleda Akhter and officials at various levels were present.
