At least 15 people with the identity of Anti-discrimination Student Movement came under fire while verifying the allegations of fake education certificate, joining, appointment letter against the teachers of Sreepur Mukti Jodha Rahmat Ali Government College in Gazipur.

The incident took place in the office room of Piara Nargis, principal of the college at around 12:30 on Thursday afternoon. There were at least 15 people in that group, including Sara, Shrabon, Abu Raihan Misbah, Mishkat Russel and anti-discrimination students.

According to the students, teachers, eyewitnesses and witnesses, they went to the principal's room and called several teachers and some employees to the principal's room through the principal. There, in front of the principal, he mentioned the names of those teachers-employees and raised various complaints.

Among the allegations were fake teachers' education certificates, recruitment, joining letters. Alleging that they were appointed on fake documents, one teacher was given 1 hour and another teacher 2 hours and asked to show them the valid documents. Meanwhile, some teachers stood up and opened the files to show the papers, the common students of the college challenged the validity of showing these papers to them.

College branch Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nazmul, members Naeem, Chahad and others also threw the same challenge and the atmosphere heated up. Meanwhile, at least 100 students started a momentary protest against the students of the anti-discrimination student movement. Some of them pointed fingers at the anti-discrimination student movement identity holders as hardware traders, some as BCL workers, some of them quickly left the principal's office.

The general students protested by barricading the door to the rest of the principal's office. During this time, ordinary teachers held hands and formed a human chain protesting such treatment of teachers. The Chhatra Dal workers issued an ultimatum warning that no one should enter the campus with these fake identities to insult the teachers. At around a quarter past three in the afternoon, the rest of the anti-discrimination student movement left the campus.

Incidentally, the pre-scheduled meeting of the academic council of the college was not held at 2 pm on this day.

Principal Piara Nargis said that the students of the anti-discrimination student movement came because of allegations of irregularities against the vice principal. He also declined to comment further.
