
Wife's body recovered from husband's locked shop in Jhenaidah

Police recovered the body of a housewife named Taslima Khatun from her husband's locked shop in Jhenaidah.
The body was recovered from inside the wood shop in Gopinathpur area of Jhenaidah suburb on Sunday night.
Taslima Khatun's husband Lal Mia has been absconding since the incident.
Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station OC Abdullah Al Mamun said, Lal Mia, a carpenter from Gopinathpur village of Jhenaidah suburb, had a shop next to the Jhenaidah-Chuadanga highway and made furniture. When Lal Mia came to the shop in the morning, his wife Taslima Khatun also came to the shop from home. In the afternoon, her son came home and found no one, including his parents. After much searching, when he went to their wood shop, he found the body of his mother Taslima inside the house.
He then informed the police. Later, the police came and recovered her body and sent it to the morgue of Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. The police initially suspect that it was a murder.
