
Rangpur Jamaat submits memo to DC demanding 5 points

A huge protest procession was taken out from the July square adjacent to the local public library ground at the initiative of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur on Sunday afternoon.
District and Metropolitan Branch, demanding that the next February's national parliamentary elections be held in a free, fair and acceptable manner based on the July Charter.
Finally, a memorandum was presented to the Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal. Later, a rally was held at the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
The rally, chaired by Maulana ATM Azam Khan, a member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamaat-nominated MP candidate from Rangpur-4 Kaunia-Pirgachha constituency and Ameer of Rangpur Metropolitan Branch. The rally was addressed by Rangpur District Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Jamaat-nominated MP candidate from Rangpur-5 Mithapukur constituency, Professor Golam Rabbani, District Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque and Jamaat's Rangpur Metropolitan Secretary Anwarul Islam Kajal, among others. The speakers insisted on the implementation of the July National Charter and the 5-point demands of elections in February based on the PR method. They said that a visible trial of the oppression, torture, genocide and corruption of the previous fascist government must be held before the elections. They Said that the fascist Awami League's allies, the Jatiya Party and the 14-party party, have been oppressing and torturing the nation for 15 years, looting the country's resources and killing people with the help of the fascist Awami League. For this reason, the activities of the Jatiya Party and the 14-party party, allies of the fascist dictatorship, must be banned at the same time. Everyone must work together for the good of the country against fascists.
