Bangladesh Nationalist Party -BNP Standing Committee member and 6-time former MP from Bhola-3 constituency and successful minister Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said, we dream of building a beautiful Bangladesh.

To realize the dream of building a beautiful Bangladesh, a free and fair election must be held quickly under the leadership of Dr. Yunus. Where everyone can vote for the person of their choice.

Those who came to power after independence in 1971 have expelled democracy from this country. In 1971, we fought to establish a nation where there will be no discrimination. There will be social justice. But unfortunately, it is true that those who came to power after independence have expelled democracy from this country.

He said these while speaking as the chief guest at the Career Guidelines (Higher Education, Skill Development, Foreign Education and Entrepreneurship) ‘Career Road Map’ seminar organized by the Engineers Society at the Lalmohan Upazila Multipurpose Hallroom in Bhola on Saturday morning.

He said, we congratulate the students for playing a strong role in freeing the country from tyranny. Now they have to go back to their studies. A conducive environment for education has to be created. A new door has opened as a result of the end of the previous fascist government. But currently we are seeing various types of unrest in the society.

 We do not want anyone to take the law into their own hands. I hope that the current government will improve the law and order situation in the country with a strong hand and create a democratic environment in the country. The current government has no past experience in running the country, but I hope that they will create a healthy environment by discussing with the political parties of the country.

Major Hafiz also said that currently the law and order situation has deteriorated significantly. The prices of commodities have gone beyond the purchasing power of the people. We hope that the government will quickly bring the prices of commodities within the purchasing power of the people. We also hope that the government will pay attention to holding elections soon. We want a fair and fair election.

When there is an unelected government, they are weak. Then the miscreants rise up and they create various kinds of chaos in the society. We want the government to suppress them with a strong hand. This government must take strong steps so that no one can take the law into their own hands. At present, the police force is not helpful in maintaining peace and order of the people at all. The police force must be made more active and an environment must be created so that they can perform their duties better.

At the Career Guidelines Seminar, chaired by Engineer Md. Borhar Uddin, the SAARC Region One Deputy Coordinator of the Global Youth Parliament, Engineer Hasan Mahmud, Senior Secretary of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Md. Abdul Hai, Bangladesh Correspondent of Turkish TRT World Md. Kamruzzaman. Lalmohan Upazila BNP Member Secretary Shafiqul Islam Babul, Joint Convener Md. Farid Uddin and Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Md. Abdul Haque, along with teachers and students from various institutions, were present as special guests.
